DreamingDresses is the collective name for the work of Kirstie Macleod, a London based artist, whose work explores expectations of clothing through performance.  The works span a range of mediums including couture art pieces, theatrical costumes, illustrations, and video installations.  A common theme is garments misbehaving in performance as an attempt to challengeexpectations of the comfort, protection and identity normally provided by such attire.  This has so far been applied to dresses - dissolving about, restricting the movement of, and in other ways controlling the wearer.
